Designed in collaboration with JodyJazz we are guaranteed a quality of build, design and ultimately, performance.  Like its alto and tenor counterparts, the mouthpiece is designed to have a full and powerful core tone but most importantly it can sizzle and kick like a mule if needed!

Staff Review

It took me literally no time to adjust to this mouthpiece - it worked perfectly for me straight away!  And I say this as a non-bari player.  The only time I get time on the bari is when I'm doing mouthpiece reviews or gearing up for a video review; in this sense I really need something that just plays fluidly and with a great tone, and that's precisely what this piece delivers on.

The large chamber gives a hugely satisfying warm core, and yet it's so easy to make the sound pop whenever you want it to.  It also has a kind of sizzly-reedy quality when playing with more subtlety.  Jody and Jay have done everything they can to ensure this mouthpiece is a free-blowing as possible, and for the baritone sax, this is essential as we have enough to deal with already!  I'm sure factors such as the thin side rails and the precise facing curve have a bearing on this.  Another stellar job to add to the series of Burnin' pieces.
