Description
AFFORDABLE AND RESPONSIVE. THESE REEDS ARE IDEAL FOR THOSE TRYING THE BASS SAXOPHONE FOR THE FIRST TIME.
The Rico cut is unfiled and features a thinner profile and blank, giving you a great ease of response. Because of this they are ideal for students, although the Rico reed is also a favourite of jazz and pop musicians due to its snappy response and bright sound. D'Addarios updated reed-making machinery and state-of-the-art process have made today's Rico reed more consistent than ever before!
Staff Review
Although most modern bass mouthpieces are designed to work with baritone reeds, these will provide a much more stable tone, particularly down in the lowest depths of the instruments range. These are also by far the most affordable bass saxophone reeds on the market. So if you're new to the bass, Rico bass reeds would be the ideal starting point! - Oren Gurney (oren@sax.co.uk)
