Made in 1951, an incredible Selmer SBA made just before the MK VI
Saxes from this era can be really interesting, often bearing hallmarks of both the SBA and Mark VI designs, and as a result, can be some of the more interesting Vintage Selmer horns to play.
This particular sax has its original lacquer which is still in very good condition for a sax of this age. The key work is in great condition and the sax play top to bottom no problem. As it is close to the end of the SBA production it is closer to the "early VI" territory, rather then the classic SBA sound. Owned by an established player on the London scene, this sax has been well loved and well played throughout the world. Now it is ready to go to its next owner and to continue to bring joy to whoever plays it! Comes with an old hard case, a modern case is recommended to be purchased with this sax.
