The 400 Series saxophones are beautifully hand-engraved and built to a high quality by Buffet, one of Europe's leading woodwind makers. With keys up to high F# and even response across the registers, the 400 Series has good intonation and tonal qualities for jazz or classical performance.

For decades, every time a new student walked through our doors, they would have a list of two or three saxes recommended by their teacher and Buffet was always one of them. This latest incarnation lives up to that reputation, even though the price has increased significantly which may rule it out for some beginners. The good news is that the quality and specification have also increased so now this a sax that many would consider an intermediate or "step up" model that many experienced players would be very happy with.
