The naming convention here is a specific reference to one of Cannonball's much earlier series of instruments, the 'Knight' series. And as an evolution of this medieval theme we have seen the emergence of the Raven, Hotspur and Mad Meg models over the years. And clearly this particular finish is very much black in colour, hence 'MidKnight'!
This model is based on Cannonball's most popular Big Bell series of saxophones, which is known for its bold, full bodied and powerful tone.
