Description
A powerful, vintage-inspired tone with a cognac lacquer finish
The 66R combines vintage-inspired design with a cognac lacquer finish. A full, dark tone makes this a versatile option for jazz, blues, and electric styles. It features drawn & rolled tone holes allowing better resonance and an enlarged bell to compliment an already warm, fat sound.
Description
The Mauriat 66R offers a full sound and versatile response. This Custom Class "Vintage Series" tenor features a cognac finish, rolled tone holes, beautiful abalone shell key touches and high F# key. The larger bell contributes to a full-bodied, powerful tone. It is rare to find rolled tone holes on a modern sax and these give a noticeably quieter key action and extended pad life.

Reviews
"After having the opportunity of playing for a long time on two excellent P Mauriat Saxophones: Alto: PMXA-67R CL and Tenor: PMXT-66R CL, I can certainly say that they are instruments of first class in every way. Very good colour of sound, powerful sound and intonation, excellent response from the keys and sound when play, adjusted and levelled mechanism, ergonomic and beautiful finish....I highly recommend the P. Mauriat Saxophones for all saxophonists"
