Description
A True Powerhouse!
High Baffle pieces, made famous by players like Michael Brecker, can often sound a bit hollow in the upper register. Striking the balance between cut and body is a delicate balancing act. This is why Theo Wanne, one of the great innovators in the mouthpiece world, has tweaked and edited the DURGA to create the DURGA 5.
The biggest innovation in the DURGA 5 is pairing the high step baffle with his patented Medium-Stadium-Chamber™. This brand-new chamber uses the same aerodynamic technology as golf balls to regulate the speed and direction of airflow from the mouthpiece into the saxophone. This control gives the overall tone the body and depth that few high baffle pieces have, whilst the high step baffle allows for plenty of cut and brightness.
Overall, the DURGA 5 is a contemporary mouthpiece. Perfect for those uncompromising players wanting to perfectly blend depth of tone with brilliance and attack.
